Dear Friends,
It’s a new year, and a new chance to create the life we want. A new year brings with it a time of reflection, of seeing what’s working in our lives and in the wider world, and what’s not.
This year, even as I continue to write and illustrate books, I will become a certified energy medicine practitioner. On the face of it, these things don’t seem to connect.
All I can say, is that one flows into the other and back again. Learning how to harness and heal my own energies has opened my creative flow.
I have fallen in love with writing and illustrating all over again, after a long, dry stretch of time where I considered quitting. I had felt disconnected to the joy of why I started writing and illustrating in the first place.
How many of us have had times where we struggle to connect with our own joy, or with other people? Our hopes and dreams, the gifts we have to offer, can seem out of reach, especially in the face of such worldwide upheavals.
I am so happy to share a video in which I share simple, yet powerful and tangible ways to reconnect to our dreams for the future and reconnect to our deepest selves. It is an exercise developed by one of my teachers, Prune Harris.
