Can you imagine a world in which every child knew they were precious, knew they were beautiful, just as they are? What if every adult knew that? The world would change overnight. The power of Unity in Diversity, the truth that we are stronger because of our diversity, is a power that transforms hearts.
The Nightingale’s Song is a book about Unity in Diversity, and when I have presented it to hundreds of school children, my goodness! The excitement in the air when the spirit of unity in diversity is buzzing...it’s electric! By the end of the presentation, we are all lit up like stars in the night sky as the children spontaneously join in the refrain in the book, “Brothers and Sisters, we shall be. Stars of one sky, leaves of one tree.”
Recently I learned that The Nightinagle’s Song won another award and was a finalist in the Book Excellence Awards. This reminds me of an important question I have to ask you all: What does unity in diversity mean to you? Let me know in the comments below.
Let the transformation of the world continue, one heart at a time!
